Dr. Barnes is a cardiologist and vascular medicine specialist at the University of Michigan. He serves as director of the Vascular Medicine Fellowship and as co-director of the Michigan Anticoagulation Quality Improvement Initiative. He leads several NIH- and AHRQ-funded studies implementing antithrombotic stewardship across the State of Michigan. He serves in leadership roles for several organizations, including SVM, AC Forum, and ISTH.
