Teresa L. Carman, MD, RPVI, MSVM is the Director, Vascular Medicine at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center and Assistant Professor of Medicine, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine. She is the Vascular Medicine fellowship program director and medical director of the Anticoagulation Monitoring Service and Center for Wound Care at UHCMC. She attended medical school at The Ohio State University. She trained in Internal Medicine at Mayo Clinic Jacksonville and Cleveland Clinic Florida. After residency she completed fellowships in Vascular Medicine and Clinical Thrombosis at Cleveland Clinic. In addition to a busy clinical practice she is active in resident and fellow education. Dr. Carman’s research interests parallel her training in clinical thrombosis, wound care, vascular ultrasound and arterial vascular disease. Dr. Carman is a Diplomat of the American Board of Vascular Medicine. She served as the Chair of the examination writing committee for more than 10 years. She is also a Director-at-Large for the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine and is active in several committees for the ABVLM/AVLS.
