Tamar Polonsky is an Associate Professor of Medicine and the Director of Cardiovascular Prevention at the University of Chicago Medicine. She has an active general cardiology practice, with a particular interest in treating adults with peripheral artery disease, women who have had pre-eclampsia, and those undergoing treatment for cancer. Her research interests include the use of imaging and serum biomarkers to improve cardiovascular risk prediction, and clinical trials to identify novel therapies to improve walking performance among adults with PAD.
