Dr Bloch's undergraduate degree is from Princeton University, and he earned his medical degree from Georgetown University Medical School in Washington, DC. He subsequently completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at New York-Presbyterian Hospital-Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York City, where he also completed a Fellowship in hypertension and vascular medicine.
He is Fellow in the American College of Physicians, the American Heart Association, the American Society of Hypertension, the National Lipid Association, and the Society of Vascular Medicine.
Currently, Dr. Bloch serves as Medical Director of Vascular Medicine and Anticoagulation Services at the Renown Medical Center Institute for Heart and Vascular Health. Dr. Bloch has served as a principal investigator on numerous clinical trials, most recently focused in the field of device therapy for hypertension and novel lipid lowering drugs. His academic work has been published in multiple journals and textbooks, and he is currently the co-author of the UpToDate hypertension page. He is a frequent participant in educational projects around the nation and internationally, focused on best practices in the management of hypertension, dyslipidemia, anticoagulation, vascular disease, and heart disease and stroke prevention.
