Dr. Shea Hogan is an interventional cardiologist and vascular medicine specialist at Denver Health Hospital, an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine in the University of Colorado School of Medicine, and a Clinician-Scientist at CPC Clinical Research (a non-profit academic research organization affiliated with the University of Colorado that is active in clinical trial research). She earned a BA from Kalamazoo College with majors in Biology and History, and her MD from the University of Michigan. Her medical training-- internal medicine residency, general cardiology fellowship, and interventional cardiology fellowship-- occurred at the University of Michigan. In 2014 she joined the cardiology division at Denver Health in Denver, Colorado. Over the following five years she learned complex coronary and vascular intervention and vascular medicine management. Given her strong clinical interest in peripheral artery disease, and particularly critical limb threatening ischemia, she founded the Denver Health Limb Salvage Program in July 2018, a multi-disciplinary group she continues to lead. In 2022 she earned a Master of Clinical Science (MSCS) degree from the University of Colorado Denver and started her current position as Clinician-Scientist at CPC Clinical Research. Her current clinical and research interests include peripheral artery disease, coronary artery disease, clinical trial adjudication, and healthcare disparities.
