Dr. Shireen Khoury, MD, MPH
Dr. Khoury completed a fellowship in Vascular Medicine & Preventive Cardiology at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Her clinical focus is on the management of advanced lipid disorders with concomitant atherosclerotic vascular disease, with a special interest in primary and secondary prevention.
As a member of the Digital Health & Innovation Lab at Johns Hopkins, Dr. Khoury serves as co-investigator on clinical trials seeking to improve the implementation of CVD prevention measures through the use of digital health platforms and human-centered design.
Dr. Khoury is active in improving the landscape of care for cardiovascular health at the national and international levels: she serves on the American Heart Association (AHA) National Action Plan for peripheral artery disease, and she works as a medical advisor to nonprofit partner organizations in the Middle East to improve the state of cardiovascular care in conflict zones abroad. Dr. Khoury holds a BS from Duke University, an MD from GWU, and an MPH from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, with a focus on epidemiology and humanitarian assistance.
